My name is Emily Durant and I was first introduced to your writing by my fiance. Your perspective is so refreshing and I appreciate your work and style. I am an aspiring writer and your style has been an inspiration. Thank you.

When there are glimpses of sun in Beaver Falls there is an unnatural euphoria that seems to take over the city. Smiles light up people’s faces and there is an extra bounce in everyone’s step. Even if the winter cold remains, there is a sense of renewed hope that spring is perhaps closer than we imagined. The sleepy melancholy that overtakes the city with the winter clouds is forgotten, if only for a brief moment, and the world seems awake and full of life.
I imagine that when Jesus rose from the dead, the sun was shining. I bet the sun greeted Jesus, stretching out its rays as long as they would go and shooting light across the land where darkness had invaded the skies and the hearts of the people. The warmth must have spread through the nation. The flowers must have responded, turning their faces upwards and drinking in the nourishment that had been mourning when Jesus died. The birds must have sung a little bit louder, the children must have had an extra skip in their steps, and a collective sigh must have escaped the mouth of the creation that had been holding its breath in anticipation and hope.
It was as if the world was saying, “We’ve been waiting!”
At least, on sunny days like these, that’s how I imagine it.

Do you have any plans to make a movie similar to ‘Notes’ for this book?

I absolutely loved the video and I was not familiar with your work but read your blog today. i just have one question. Can you please tell me what the children responded to your grandfather in response to his question, what is the whole point of the Bible. I so wanted to know and I listened about four times, but my ears could not make it out. Thank you.
